Snow wasn’t in the forecast today, but alas, we wo Snow wasn’t in the forecast today, but alas, we woke up to another inch of it, and as I left the gym early in the morning, a curtain of soft snowflakes fell like in slow motion. All I could think of when I got home was a warm cup of tea between my hands and soup, any soup for lunch 🍲 I love making and having chili, but my mood today is for Spanish lentil soup with chorizo and bacon, which not warms up the body and transports me to my mom‘s kitchen 💕

January 6, Three Kings Day or the Epiphany, is a h January 6, Three Kings Day or the Epiphany, is a huge celebration in Spain, with parades called cavalcades in every city and town to receive the three Magi, who followed a star to come adore baby Jesus in Bethlehem 👑👑👑 In Spain, children receive toys on this day, and families get together for one last big meal before going back to work and school. A special dessert is eaten on this day, the roscón de Reyes. You can find a recipe for roscón de Reyes on Mama Ía blog, but this year I made a different dessert, popular on this feast day on a different European country (I’ll share tomorrow, roscón de Reyes today)
